Pressing the Record button will start the audio file as well as record you playing the lesson. When the audio file reaches the end, recording will stop.
Clicking the Stop button will stop recording as well as audio play back.

The volume slider adjusts the volume of your audio file accompaniment when recording your solo.

It is suggested to use an external microphone and/or headphones when recording. While built-in mics and speakers will work, there is generally a lot of audio bleed — especially in smaller machines and laptops where the microphone is placed very close to the speakers.

If you are experiencing poor quality on your recordings (i.e. echoes, delays, etc.), please try using these suggested methods.

If you are experiencing an overdriven or distorted sound on your recordigns, run the "Microphone Check" and make sure your levels are ok. You should aim to have your level in the middle/top-middle of the meter.
